My mother had five children and was always cooking honest home made meals and baking up a storm in the kitchen. I was never fussy, I tried it all and before I knew it mum handed me the famous family favorites. I then ventured out into the big wide world and my love for food has only grown. Melbourne taught me coffee and ethnicity. Dunedin provides entrepreneurial inspiration and simple satisfactions. And the internet and its sea of articles, blogs and intelligence delivers my own personal 'degree' in food.
Food is unquestionably my passion. The variety, the possibilities, the flavours, the process, and oh the outcome! I love cooking, baking and anything to do with food. I haven't got an official degree in food but I do have joy, knowledge, and excitement for it!
Try new things, I've always sounded, you will be gladdened, well-informed and hopefully not too well-rounded! Because moderation is key when you're feeding your hankering, yes I adore those cakes and pastries but not till they reveal something unflattering. Life should be about experience and enjoyment not calorie counting and constant torment. I crave to taste, learn and share all of it, from sweet treats to the odd detox bit.
